MSCV Students

Eileen Li is a Master’s student at CMU in the MSCV (Computer Vision) program, graduating December 2023. She received her Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley studying EECS and has worked at Pinterest and Counsyl prior to returning back to school. She has an interest in generative models, learning with imperfect datasets, and applications in the climate domain.

Younjoon Chung is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Vision (MSCV) at Carnegie Mellon University, Robotics Institute. Since graduating from Sogang University, Seoul, Korea with a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering in 2018, he has worked as a Research Engineer at Selvas AI Inc. and VUNO Inc., working on OCR and computer-assisted diagnosis of medical images.

Collaborators

Oliver Wang is a Master of Science in Robotics (MSR) student in the Human Sensing Lab.

Jinqi Luo is a Master of Science in Robotics (MSR) student in the Human Sensing Lab.

Faculty Advisor

Fernando De la Torre has been a research faculty member at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University since 2005. In 2014 he founded FacioMetrics LLC to license the technology for facial image analysis (acquired by Facebook in 2016). His research interests are in the fields of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. In particular, applications to human health, augmented reality, virtual reality, and methods that focus on the data (not the model). He is directing the Human Sensing Laboratory (HSL), where 135 students have conducted research in the last 8 years.
