Adnan Ahmad

Adnan is a first year graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Computer Vision (MSCV) at Carnegie Mellon University. He will be spending this summer interning at the Allen Institute for AI as a Research Intern in the Skylight team. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Research Analyst at the Diciphr Lab at the University of Pennsylvania where he worked on clinical research problems at the intersection of neuroscience and machine learning. Prior to that, he was part of the founding team of the health-tech startup DeepTek where he developed ML algorithms and systems for automated diagnosis of several diseases

Gerard Maggiolino

Gerard is graduating from the M.S. in Computer Vision program at Carnegie Mellon, and will be working at Tesla Autopilot as a Computer Vision Research Engineer starting in Feb 2023. All of his professional roles have been in computer vision as an engineer or intern. Previously, Gerard interned at Nuro (05 – 08/2022), worked full-time at Elementary ML (09/2020 – 08/2021), interned at NASA JPL (06 – 08/2020), interned at Accel Robotics (09 – 12/2019), and interned at Elementary ML (06 – 09/2019).

Kris Kitani

Kris M. Kitani is an associate research professor and director of the MS in Computer Vision program of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He received his BS at the University of Southern California and his MS and PhD at the University of Tokyo. His research projects span the areas of computer vision, machine learning and human computer interaction. In particular, his research interests lie at the intersection of first-person vision, human activity modeling and inverse reinforcement learning. His work has been awarded the Marr Prize honorable mention at ICCV 2017, best paper honorable mention at CHI 2017 and CHI 2020, best paper at W4A 2017 and 2019, best application paper ACCV 2014 and best paper honorable mention ECCV 2012.
