Team

We were master’s students in Computer Vision at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, class of 2020.
We worked on this project with Professor Srinivasa Narasimhan from CMU RI, Shoou-i Yu and He Wen from Facebook Reality Labs.

Marvin Kim

Prior to CMU, I have worked on large distributed systems and also 3D point cloud object detection for autonomous driving.
My interests lie in computer vision and deep learning efficiency, such as pruning and distillation.
In this project, I have implemented the 2D dense hand keypoint detector with a staged heatmap approach.

Starting in 2021, I will be working at Waymo as a Software Engineer.

Heshan Liu

My interests lie in deep learning and computer vision. In specific, I am interested in image synthesis, video object tracking and scene understanding.

In this project, I have implemented a 3D method to detect the dense keypoints based multiview 2D sparse keypoints.

I have worked at Tencent Youtu Labs on semantic segmentation in 2018. I have also worked at Waymo in 2020 summer as an intern focusing on road turn arrow detection based on lidar data.

I will work at Pony.at as a Perception Engineer focusing on object tracking.
