Shaurye Aggarwal

Shaurye is a Master of Science in Computer Vision student at Carnegie Mellon University, expected to graduate in December 2025. Previously, he spent a few years at Samsara Networks Inc. as an applied scientist working on ADAS features within their Computer Vision team. He graduated with a Bachelor in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Kaustav Mukherjee

Kaustav is a Master of Science in Computer Vision student at Carnegie Mellon University, expected to graduate in December 2025. Previously, he completed his Bachelor of Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he spent a year and a half working on various computer vision products at medical AI startup Kaliber Labs as a part of the NUS Overseas Colleges Program.

Ji Zhang, Ph. D.

His research interests span SLAM, navigation, planning, and scene understanding. His early work on Lidar Odometry and Mapping (LOAM) and the succeeding work leveraging range, vision, and inertial sensing ignited real-time 3D Lidar SLAM. He founded Kaarta, Inc, a CMU spin-off commercializing 3D mapping & modeling technologies, and stayed with the company for 4 years as chief scientist. In late 2019, he rejoined CMU as a faculty member and started leading the development of a series of autonomous navigation algorithms.
