Shaurye Aggarwal

Shaurye is a Master of Science in Computer Vision graduate from Carnegie Mellon University, batch of December 2025. He had previously spent a few years a Samsara Networks Inc. as an applied as an applied scientist working on ADAS features within their Computer Vision team, and had previously graduated with a Bachelor in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Kaustav Mukherjee

Kaustav is a Master of Science in Computer Vision graduate from Carnegie Mellon University, batch of December 2025. Previously, he completed his Bachelor of Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and has spent 3 years working in computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics at the medical AI startup Kaliber Labs.

Ji Zhang, Ph. D.

His research interests span SLAM, navigation, planning, and scene understanding. His early work on Lidar Odometry and Mapping (LOAM) and the succeeding work leveraging range, vision, and inertial sensing ignited real-time 3D Lidar SLAM. He founded Kaarta, Inc, a CMU spin-off commercializing 3D mapping & modeling technologies, and stayed with the company for 4 years as chief scientist. In late 2019, he rejoined CMU as a faculty member and started leading the development of a series of autonomous navigation algorithms.
