D degrees in Electronic Engineering from La Salle School of Engineering at Ramon Llull University, Barcelona, Spain in 1994, 1996, and 2002, respectively. He has been a research faculty member in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University since 2005. In 2014 he founded FacioMetrics LLC to license the technology for facial image analysis (acquired by Facebook in 2016). His research interests are in the fields of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. In particular, applications to human health, augmented reality, virtual reality, and methods that focus on the data (not the model). Prior to joining MSCV Ayush worked in the industry for 4 years across 3 companies <a href=\"https:\/\/tonboimaging.com\/main\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tonbo Imaging<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/vimaan.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vimaan Robotics<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyperverge.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HyperVerge<\/a>. His work has spanned across areas of Computer Vision like Object Detection, Instance Segmentation, and Face Recognition. Ayush has also participated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/summerofcode.withgoogle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Summer of Code<\/a> as a Mentor and Student for the organization <a href=\"https:\/\/xapian.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Xapian<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-89048260-180a-407d-ba5a-7cdffe3eb570\">Students: Hiresh Gupta<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-rounded\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mscvprojects.ri.cmu.edu\/2022team3\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/58\/2022\/04\/Hiresh.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-148\" width=\"291\" height=\"271\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mscvprojects.ri.cmu.edu\/2022team3\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/58\/2022\/04\/Hiresh.jpg 421w, https:\/\/mscvprojects.ri.cmu.edu\/2022team3\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/58\/2022\/04\/Hiresh-300x279.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 291px) 100vw, 291px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hiresh is a graduate student pursuing Masters in Computer Vision at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ri.cmu.edu\/\">Robotics Institute<\/a>, Carnegie Mellon University. Before joining <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmu.edu\/\">CMU<\/a>, he worked as a researcher at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/\">Adobe Systems<\/a>, where he worked on multiple areas of Computer Vision involving Object Detection, Image Segmentation &amp; Visual search.
